Super Slim LG Optimus 3D Coming Next Year

LG is already working on a 3D phone that is just 7mm in thickness with the slimmest phones of the time.

LG is working on a slimmer and sexier version of its famed Optimus 3D smartphone, which was recently launched in India and is touted as world's first glass-less 3D phone.

In an interview with Pocket-lint, one of the developers of the Optimus 3D, Dr Henry Noh said, "Everyone knows that's this [LG Optimus 3D] is not the slimmest and sexiest phone on the street. We want to make it a little slimmer."
He added, "These days, all the phones look the same. They have a huge screen - 4.3-inches is normal these days - and next year they're moving even larger. And they have a fixed number of touch buttons. They've the same thickness. They have the same camera. And even the same OS. It's so boring."
Well, does that also mean that the next Optimus 3D will also have a bigger screen, and will have a dedicated user interface which will be much different from the Android platform that the phone uses? Well only time will tell.

LG is looking at launching the new phone sometime next year. But we have questions to our readers, does the thickness of the device makes much of a difference (current device is 12mm thick)?
