According to the pictures, it appears the Samsung Galaxy Round will have the same faux leather back of the Note 3 as well as its screen size, camera, and RAM. When compared with the Note 3, notabledifferences include the lack of an S-Pen, a 400mAh smaller battery , and a speaker on the back instead of being  on the bottom. Otherwise, it’s pretty much a Note 3 that’s been bent.

So far, details are scarce, but since it is running Android 4.3 with Touchwiz, it’s safe to assume that most of the software features from the S4 and Note 3 (sans S-Pen) will be there. One interesting addition is what is being called the Roll Effect. How this works is simple. If you roll the device toward one of the edges, a dock-style screen will open showing you the time, battery, missed calls, and text messages. You can check out the video below to see the whole demonstration.
According to reports, the device is apparently incredibly comfortable to hold, which is understandable, granted its design and form. Since it’s curved to match the contours of the hand, it’s likely to feel quite balanced. The device is going to sell for $1,013 for one carrier in Korea, SK Telecom. Also, while there is no word yet on a global release, it’s likely that we’ll start to see it appear on independent reseller sites soon.
With a device like this having appeared in the rumor mill for months, it’s finally nice to see it come to fruition. Basically think of it as a Note 3, minus the S-Pen, and a curved display, and now it’s finally here. We’d love to get your opinion on it. Is this going to change the face of smartphones or are we looking at Samsung having some fun being first to the curved screen party? We’ll be sure to get our hands on this as soon as possible so stay tuned and let us know what you think of the Samsung Galaxy Round!
