Another day, another leak. This time it’s for the LG G3, which we should be seeing announced in the next couple of months. The LG G3 is rumored to be sporting a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery, and IPx67 water-resistant rating.
Pretty beefy, which is basically what the G2 was last year. Now we’ve got some screenshots of the UI for the G3, which its actually a pretty big change from the UI we have on the LG G2 right now, and even the LG G Flex. The screenshots in the gallery at the bottom of this post are in full resolution, which is 2560×1440. So that’s all but confirmed now.
One of the things you’ll notice with these screenshots is that LG kind of copied Samsung with their changes. They have made the quick toggles at the top round, like on the Galaxy S5. Also the apps are now flat, similar to what we’ve seen on the Galaxy S5, Galaxy TabPRO and Galaxy NotePRO tablets. LG seems to be going with more of a green interface – which I hope is customizable. You’ll also notice that the launcher looks a bit more like the Google Now or Nova launcher. Aside from the icons. There’s also a recents key now instead of a menu button, which is nice to finally have.
Back to the notification shade, it’s still a bit busy, but not as busy as the LG G2 is right now. It appears that they have gotten rid of the brightness and volume sliders, for whatever reason. I wonder if LG will make that customizable so you can fully get rid of the quick toggles, and add the sliders back, etc. That would be a big deal to me. Currently if you remove all the quick toggles, you’ll be left with a big “edit” button up there, which is kinda useless to me. Are any of our readers liking what they are seeing here?
