Google has its own protocol, Google Cast expanded with a new feature to use this function purely for audio content. The Chromecast which Google has released was mainly for Video but now Google wants but also take the speakers in our homes for themselves. For this is the new or expanded Google Cast with a focus on services like Rdio, Google Play Music, BeyondPod or TuneIn. The first speaker with Google Cast connectivity will be available in Denon, Sony and LG.
As always, the media are "cast" from your smartphone or tablet from a speaker, but alternatively, the Chrome browser or Chromebook can be used.
