Google already told us that they will do monthly security update and it seems like it has begun a phased rollout of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The update comes along with the security update for December. The Nexus 6 is the first device to receive the update to Android 6.0.1 as you can see in the screenshot below.
Different users with a Nexus 6 make starting today, reported a new update for their smartphone. Google distributes a new build called MMB29K which is also the security update for the month of December is.

Till now Google didn't said anything about the update on blog or anywhere also no changelog. But we think this update fixed some bugs and there are no further new features added to Android.

In the coming days the update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is expected to be rolled out. Other devices such as the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus 5 will get the update by the security December.
