Netflix Is Now Available In More Than 130 New Countries

Netflix has just dropped some huge news: starting today, the streaming service is becoming truly global, by adding a whopping 130 countries to its reach for a total of 190 countries.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings called the expansion of the reach "the birth of a new global TV network. With this launch, consumers around the world – from Singapore to St. Petersburg, from San Francisco to Sao Paulo – will be able to enjoy TV shows and movies simultaneously – no more waiting."

With this expanded list of countries, where it's available, it's easier to point out the areas where Netflix will not be available: China is the biggest market where the service is not yet available, and others left in the entertainment darkness include Syria, the illegally annexed Crimea and the dictatorship of North Korea. For the vast majority of the world, though, January 7th, 2016 will be remembered as the date when you can finally apply the phrase "Netflix and chill" without feeling like a fraud.

Netflix goes truly global: arrives in whopping 130 new markets
In 2016, Netflix is planning to bring 24 feature films, 31 new and returning TV shows, 30 original kids’ series and stand-up comedy specials.
Netflix is available in three options: the cheapest one offers SD definition videos that you can watch on 1 device for €8 a month, then there is the €10 HD package that allows you to watch on 2 screens, and finally, the €12 4K Ultra HD package brings highest resolution films on up to 4 devices.
If you are in one of the countries, where Netflix has just lit up its service, you will need to register providing payment details and you'll get to test the service for one month
