How to Watch Today’s OnePlus 3 Launch

If you are familiar with the OnePlus company then you have the idea that they don't unveil their products easily, like we saw last year. Like every time, instead of just posting a livestream to YouTube, OnePlus is asking you to download an app from Google Play, and if you are feeling super frisky, the company also wants you to experience the launch in virtual reality with a VR headset. Talk about a pain in the rear.

At 9:30AM PT (12:30PM ET), fire up the OnePlus 3 Launch: The Loop application on your smartphone. If you have not already, be sure to download it from Google Play if you want to watch the livestream from the link below.

You can watch the livestream with the VR headset or without it. But OnePlus suggests that you wear a VR headset for the launch, but it is not a requirement iIf you don’t have a VR headset, or even Cardboard, you can watch the stream via The Loop app in a standard viewing mode. As the report suggests, the phone will be made available for purchase via The Loop app following the presentation without any invitation system (yay). Additionally, OnePlus is hosting a few Pop-Up shops across the world (with one in NYC), so you can buy the device from there, too.

As for what to expect, thanks to Amazon jumping the gun, the OnePlus 3 will feature a 5.5″ FHD display with Gorilla Glass 4, Snapdragon 820, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, USB Type-C (USB 2.0), NFC, 16MP rear-facing camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 3,000mAh non-removable battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, and OxygenOS on top of Android 6.0.1 “Marshmallow.”
