OnePlus 3 Software Update Rolling Out with sRGB Mode, Better RAM Management and More

OnePlus has finally started rolling out the most expected update that that brings new sRGB mode in the developer options that will tone down the colors shown by the phone and also improved RAM management that fixes the issue that cleared apps from its memory despite having 6GB of RAM. This will also offer faster game loading times. The update also brings improvements for GPS performance, camera quality and more. Check out the complete changelog below.

Many users found two major flaws: first, the display comes with way oversaturated colors that have very little in common with the colors all of the web and the Android platform is built around, and secondly, battery life was below average. Other issues have been noted as well: despite coming with 6GB of RAM, the OnePlus 3 seemed to only utilize up to 4 gigs and was force-closing apps way too fast, so problems with RAM management were noted.
Well, most of those issues get addressed in a huge update that is already starting to roll out for the OnePlus 3. Here are the changes it brings, we've highlighted the two we find most important:

OnePlus 3 OxygenOS 3.2.0 update changelog:

  • Enabled sRGB mode in developer options.
  • Improved RAM management.
  • Improved GPS performance.
  • Enhanced audio playback quality.
  • Updated custom icon packs.
  • Fixed some issues with notifications.
  • Improved camera quality/functionality.
  • Fixed some issues in Gallery.
  • Implemented latest Google security patches.
  • Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps.

As you can see in the screenshot, the over-the-air (OTA) update is 396MB in size. OnePlus said that the OxygenOS 3.2.0 is gradually rolling out and should reach all the OnePlus 3 smartphones worldwide in the next 48 hours.
