Google didn't stop, alongside the new Pixel handsets and Google Wifi, Google also announced the Chromecast Ultra. The latest version of Chromecast from Google supports streaming and casting in 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision.
Google says that the Chromecast Ultra is up to 1.8x faster than its previous Chromecast offerings thanks to its faster internals. It also comes with faster Wi-Fi to ensure that there is no bandwidth bottleneck. And in case you live in an area with Wi-Fi congestion, the Chromecast Ultra comes with Ethernet support that is built into the power adapter.
To take advantage of the Chromecast Ultra, Google will be rolling out 4K support to Google Play Movies in November. Google will start selling the Chromecast Ultra from November from $69.
