[Official] Samsung Will Announce Galaxy Note 8 On August 23

It is official, folks. Samsung sending invite for Samsung’s Unpacked event in New York where they say they’ll be introducing their “newest mobile device.”

In case there was any question as to what that device may be, Samsung’s teaser image is pretty clear: the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be officially unveiled on August 23rd at an Unpacked event in New York.
It also said that it is specifically designed for people who move through barriers to do more of what matters to them. The invite shows S Pen stylus and hints at slim bezels.

According to earlier rumors, the phone will have a 6.4-inch OLED display with the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ (1440 x 2960) resolution of the S8 series, dual rear cameras with 12 MP wide-angle lens supporting dual photodiodes, along with a 13 MP telephoto lens, OIS on both.

It is rumored to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 chipset, varying by region and 6GB of RAM. It is not clear if the phone will come with under-glass fingerprint sensor, as rumors indicate it will be highly unlikely, but it will be in a position that is easier to reach compared to the S8 series. It is said to come with improved S Pen and Bixby voice assistant.

The Galaxy Note8 is said to come in Black, Blue and Gold colors and is rumored to go on sale globally for about 999 Euros (US$ 1118 / 72120 approx.) in early September.

Of course for those unable to attend, Samsung will be live streaming the event so you can watch from home. We’re sure plenty more leaks about the device are still ahead of us, leading up to the Note 8’s official release, so stay tuned.
