Motorola’s Nexus 6 Specs a 5.9-inch Quad HD display, Front-Facing Stereo Speakers and More

Over the last week, we have heard quite a bit about the Nexus shamu , which is supposedly going to come with a gigantic 5.9-inch screen.
Today, the folks over at Android Police have received more information about the Nexus 6, which corroborates perfectly with what we have heard earlier.
The next Nexus a.k.a shamu will indeed be made by Motorola and sport a 5.9-inch Quad HD display with a pixel density of 496ppi. The handset phablet will sport a design that is similar to the new Moto X (2014) except for the power and volume buttons slightly lowered to account for the increased height of the device. It will also retain the highly appreciated metal frame as seen on the new Moto X for better rigidity, build quality and in-hand feel.
Other specs of the shamu include front-facing stereo speakers, a 13MP camera (apparently with OIS), dual-ring LED flash and a 3200mAh+ battery. The device will also be compatible with Motorola’s Turbo Charger, which will allow it to gain an additional 8 hours of battery life with just 15 mins on the charger.
As for folks like us who were expecting a smaller Nexus handset as well — the chances, sadly, look very bleak as nothing concrete about the device existence has leaked yet.
The render created by Android Police also suggests that Google will be tweaking the apps as well as the Wi-Fi and network icons in the final release of Android L. As depicted in the render above, Google will also be placing a brand new ‘Drive’ folder on your Android L homescreen with shortcuts to its suite of office apps.
