Samsung Galaxy S9 And Galaxy S9+ Case Renders Reveals More

Recently, Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ has been leaked in renders by OnLeaks and today, some more case renders of the handsets have leaked which shows off their beautiful design.

As evident from the renders, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will feature largely the same design language as their predecessor. Samsung is switching to a vertical camera layout at the rear of the device though, with the fingerprint scanner being moved to the very bottom. This new placement should make it easier to reach the fingerprint scanner. The new shape of the fingerprint scanner should also further help improve its accuracy.

The fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were widely criticized for being slow to unlock, inaccurate and their poor positioning. While many would have hoped that Samsung went with an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S9, it is still nice to see the company fix at least one major pain point with the S8.

The renders also confirm that the Galaxy S9+ will come with a dual-camera setup, while the smaller Galaxy S9 will have to do with just one camera at its rear.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on February 28th at MWC 2018. The handsets are expected to sport modest changes over their predecessor at least in terms of design. Under the hood, the Galaxy S9 is expected to make use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chip, feature 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and a beefy 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The iris scanner on the device will also see improvements in terms of its unlock speed and accuracy.

Are you looking forward to the Galaxy S9 launch next year?
