[Rumor] Google Mid-Range Pixel Coming With New Snapdragon 710 SoC

Recently, Google removed the Tablets section from its website and the last tablet the company has released was the Pixel C, which didn’t do well. This step of Google doesn’t mean there won’t be another new device segment from Google. A new mid-range device is rumored to come in first-half of 2019 from the company.

For the past two years, the Mountain View-based tech giant has been launching its flagship premium Pixel smartphones with the top-of-the-line specs challenging its contemporaries. Last year’s Pixel XL camera is acclaimed by many as the best camera till date.

Having said that, Google might be gearing up to introduce new mid-range Pixel phone, which was earlier rumored to be exclusive for India. This news came to light by a famous tipster named Roland Quandt, who already has several verified leaks in the past.

Roland had tweeted stating that Google is working on a new device featuring the new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 SoC. He also suggested that the new device, which is believed to be the new mid-range pixel phone and is scheduled to launch in first-half of 2019.

The leak also states that highly unlikely Google would be introducing a new tablet since it has removed the 'Tablets' section from its site. And, also the new Snapdragon 710 SoC unveiled recently is targeted for upper mid-range smartphone segment according to Qualcomm. The first phone to feature the new SD 710 SoC was the Xiaomi 8 SE, which was launched this week.

As per the tipster and his speculative tweet, we believe that Google might be preparing to compete for that segment with its pure Android mid-range Pixel phone which is currently owned by Nokia 7 Plus and the OnePlus 6 with their close to stock Android experience.
