Android 5.0 AOSP Firmware is Out For Various Sony Devices by FXP

Sony has a AOSP branch for their own smartphones and tablets, based on which now the first firmware files are published. The FreeXperiaProject (short fxp) has now announced with the nightly builds of the new Android 5.0 firmware.

The FXP team released highly functional Android 5.0 Lollipop builds for 12 Sony Xperia devices. These are the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Z1, Z1 Compact, Z2, Z2 Tablet, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, T2 Ultra, T3, M2, and E3. For those unaware, the FXP (Free Xperia Project) team has been delivering highly functional and incredibly polished AOSP-based ROMs to various Sony devices for the past several years.
And while it is no major surprise that these builds eventually landed on the aforementioned devices, the timing is quite the Christmas miracle since we’re not too far removed from Lollipop’s initial release to the AOSP. Moreover, this update provides a much needed speed boost for some of the older devices that made the list due to Lollipop’s incorporation of ART as its default runtime compiler.

There are already few builds and each day they upload a new firmware for download, which you can pull it on your device. A list of current downloads are always with Uploaded, there all firmware files are released automatically, simply click on the date in respect of the version number (eg 141227 for 27 December 2014). Which device on which code names listening, you can in this list members. Currently, there are probably issues with important modules, such as the mobile Internet etc.
Careful with that.
