The 5-inch display pumps out a resolution of 480 x 854, which is never going to dazzle. In fact, at 196 pixels per-inch, the Bello II isn't blessed with sharpness, and while budget phones naturally scrimp on certain aspects, many entry-level devices nowadays can muster at least a 720p display.
The Bello II includes a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU and there's a reasonable 1-gig of RAM. Storage-wise, you get 8 GB to play around with, and if you'd like more, you can increase via the microSD card reader.
The 8-megapixel rear shooter is accompanied by a 5-megapixel offering for selfies. Speaking of which, the Bello II includes Selfie Flash and Gesture Shot -- two software features that help you to capture better snaps of your own face. Selfie Flash turns your display into a flash of sorts, offering a useful glow when external light is at a premium. Gesture Shot, as the name implies, lets you take pictures by gesturing at the camera, which will no doubt help in avoidance of the dreaded Selfie Arm.
There's a 2,540 mAh battery, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and as mentioned above, you get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop from the get-go. Available in White, Titan and Gold color options, there's no word on pricing as yet, but it's certain to be cheap.
The Bello II will launch at some point later on this month in India, Latin America, and much of Europe. In some markets, namely India, Mexico and Russia, the Bello II will be known as the LG Max, while in Brazil and Chile, it'll be branded as the LG Prime II.
