Nokia 3 Gets Android 8.0 Oreo Update

The Finnish company HMD Global is all about consumer satisfaction determined and it's quite unusual for handset makers to offer major Android updates for mid-range and entry-level, let alone for ALL their products in this price range.

Well, HMD is doing it, probably because it doesn't have so many smartphones available on the market like other brands like Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc. The last addition to the list of smartphone updated to Android Oreo is the Nokia 3.

Back in February, HMD debuted an Android Oreo beta program for the Nokia 3, which would allow owners of the smartphone to test the update before it gets released to the general public.

Today, HMD announced Android 8.0 Oreo for Nokia 3 is going live, almost two months after the beta program kicked off. Although the OTA (over the air) roll-out should begin today, it may take a couple of days to arrive on all Nokia 3 units around the world.

You may try a manual update via Settings > About phone > System update > Check for update. If it’s not yet available, you can either keep on visiting the “Check for update” button or simply sit back and wait for the OTA notification, which should arrive in the course of the week or so.

Have you received Oreo on your Nokia 3? Let us know in your comments below. Also, screenshots are welcomed, too.
