Paytm Launched Card Soundbox With Tap To Pay Card Payment Feature

Today Paytm launched its latest soundbox, the Card Soundbox, which is India’s first soundbox that will accept all domestic and international card payments. This comes after the launch of Paytm Pocket Soundbox and Paytm Music Soundbox.

This new device empowers merchants to accept both mobile and card payments across all Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and RuPay networks through Paytm’s iconic Soundbox with ‘tap and pay’ functionality.

The Card Soundbox solves two problems for merchants: accepting card payments and getting instant audio alerts for all payments. The device provides both audio and visual payment confirmation through an LCD screen to the merchant and the customer.

With a built-in ‘tap and pay’ functionality, merchants can accept card payments up to ₹5,000. The Made in India device is powered by 4G network connectivity, providing the fastest payment alerts. The device offers alerts in 11 languages that can be changed by the merchant through the Paytm for Business app.

Key features of the Paytm Card Soundbox include:

  • ‘Tap and Pay’ Functionality: Merchants can accept card payments up to ₹5,000 seamlessly.
  • 4G Network Connectivity
  • Equipped with a 4W speaker.
  • Lasts up to 5 days on a single charge.
  • Multilingual Support: Offers alerts in 11 languages.
  • NFC Compatibility: Users with NFC-enabled smartphones can make payments via the tap feature.

You can get the new Paytm Card Soundbox through the Paytm Business App or by calling the Paytm customer care number at 0120-4440440.

Regarding the announcement, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO, Paytm said,

Paytm has always been at the forefront of innovating for India’s small businesses, solving their payments and financial services problems. Today with Paytm Card Soundbox, we take it to the next level. We have found that merchants and consumers need card acceptance as simply as mobile payments with Paytm QR Code. The launch of Card Soundbox will go a long way in merging the two requirements of merchants – mobile payments and card payments.
